History

Autobahn Motorwerks Inc. was started in 1989 by Joe and Michele Sanderson. After 32 years at 515 SW Blvd, they moved to their current location at 216 SW Blvd in Kansas City, Missouri.

They founded the business because they were tired of being left in the cold by auto dealers that had no regard for their customers or their employees. They knew they could offer something the dealers could not: more one on one personal service.

“While working at the dealerships I found that when the technician and the customer could interact, their automobile could be repaired more efficiently. There is always something lost when the technician gets second and sometimes third hand information about the problems with a customer’s vehicle.”
